Here is my list of the Top 5 attractions in China.

The Great Wall Of China
“Greatest Human Feat in History”: The Great Wall is the building project with the longest duration and greatest cost in human lives, blood, sweat and tears. It deserves its place among “the New Seven Wonders of the World” and the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Having seen it countless times on my TV screens and studied about it back in school it was part of my fantasy for a very long time and finally the dream was a reality – The Great Wall of China.
While in Beijing do visit the other famous attractions including the Forbidden city, Tiananmen square and many others – Read more.
-
Zhangjiajie National Forest
Made up of towering sandstone pillars midst the flowing clouds and tranquil streams Zhangjiajie National Forest is one of the best national parks we have ever visited. This is a scenic landscape which speaks for itself and has been the inspiration behind the Hollywood blockbuster “Avatar”. Zhangjiajie National Forest took us to a beautiful fairyland.
Also do visit the Tianmen mountain to walk the thrilling glass sky walk and also relax at the Baofeng lake – Read more.
-
Li River Cruise
The famous Li river cruise is a must do for anyone visiting China. This majestic river flows peacefully between gorgeous Karst peaks giving you surprises at each bend of the limpid river under the blue sky. Thousands of Chinese painters and poets have been inspired by this breath taking scenery. The cruise from Guilin to Yangshou was something we will cherish in our hearts forever – Read more.
While in Guilin do visit the famous Reed Flute cave – Click here.
-
Giant Pandas
The National treasure of China – The Giant Panda’s are loved by not just the Chinese but pretty much everyone across the world. Seeing these cute animals up close and personal at the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Center is a memorable experience. We spend hours just watching these balls of cuteness playing and goofing around – Read more.
While in Chengdu do visit the Leshan Giant Buddha.
-
Shanghai Bund
The most notable icon of the Shanghai city – The famous waterfront of The Bund. A mile walk along the Bund shows you the two sides of the Shanghai city. On the west are building of different architectural styles depicting the Colonial Era and to the east across the Huangpu River is the palette of modern futuristic skyscrapers glittering in neon lights. It’s well said that one has not visited Shanghai if they haven’t visited The Bund –and I so agree.
Shanghai has a lot to offer including the Zhujiajiao water town, Jade Buddha temple etc – Read more.

Great choices! I lived in china for a year, and did most of these, apart from the Li river and Guilin… I really want to go back and try them, they look so beautiful!
Thats really nice to hear… Guilin is definitely worth a visit
China still represents a big question mark on my bucket list, maybe I should reconsider! 🙂 This Zhangjiajie place looks seriously amazing!
Yeahh China is definitely alluring… Add it right at the top of your bucket list
China has an allure all of it’s own. Thanks for this informative article. Def on our bucket list!
I would love to go and see the Great Wall, I wonder how hard it is to get to the deserted parts of the wall, they are basically ruins but would interesting to see part of the wall in it original state and with nobody around!
Thats really worth a try…
All so stunning and beautiful attractions in China. I really need to visit when I plan my Asia tour next year.
Hope you get to visit soon
Thank you for such a great read! China is definitely on my bucket list and now I have a superb guide 👍🏻
These are magical! I especially am drawn to the mist-swaddled Zhangjiajie mountains. They look otherworldly, don’t they, with those craggy spires disappearing in the mist? Good collection of attractions!
That national forest 😍 😍 😍 😍
and we all love pandas!
Great post, thanks for sharing.
Amazing blog.. full of creativity, your blog inspired me alot to write more .. well done keep it up
All the best for future
Thanks a ton Garima
Walking the Great Wall of China has always been on my bucket list, but you’ve just added a few more things!
I have been to Hong Kong and I once illegally cycled across the border from Laos into China, but have never actually been to China and it is number one on my bucket list. Really love the list of places you included – especially Guilin and Zhangjiajie National Forest two places I would love to see – I guess I’m going to have to start saving up again for my next trip 🙂
Ha ha.. Yeah do save up — but this time i hope u dont cycle across Illegally 😉
Out of your list I have only experienced the Li river attraction, when I visited China. I was based in Yangshuo and walked by the river every day. It was so nice and there were plenty of things to do around. I even went swimming in the river one day 🙂
Swimmimg in the Li river – that must have been a great experience
Awesome list! I’d love to see some giant panda’s, they are too cute! definitely will have to travel to China at some point 🙂
Great tips on where to visit. We are going to China at the end of the year. Of course the great wall is on everyone’s list but that national forest is certainly on mine now.
These attractions totally deserve a visit. The Giant Pandas look so cute and unique while Shanghai Bund looks luxurious. I can’t wait to travel to China!
China is certainly on our bucket list and we have found it hard to choose from what seems like an endless list of amazing attractions. Your chosen attractions looks amazing and I think we will try to see at least these
China is a must visit. Hope you get to visit soon
An interesting country, China! We had an amazing time here back in 2011. And the giant pandas are absolutely adorable.
I would go Pandas and Avatar park! Not sure when I will make it to China, but for sure, one day I will.
