Brazil is our first destination in the continent of South America. We had a 10 day trip visiting the vibrant city of Rio and then travelling to the depths of the remote Pantanal to see the elusive Jaguar and the amazing amazonian bird life.
After an awesome start to our Boat Safari at Pantanal , it was time for another exhilarating day with another Boat Safari in Jaguar county. Our hopes were quite high –what lay in store for us. Would I have a up close and personal encounter with this elusive feline – will we strike gold today?

After an enthralling first day of wildlife safari on the Transpantaneira, we were up early to the chirping of birds all around us. We were up quite early eager to head into the wilderness of the worlds largest wetland – Pantanal. Looking forward to a day spotting various bird species, Caymans, Capybaras, Jaguars and much more.

It was time for the visiting Brazil’s best kept secret – The wetlands of Pantanal. This was the highlight of our Brazil trip and I was more so keen to get on the flight and head to this new adventure starting our journey on the Transpantaneira Highway – 125KM’s of unpaved road in to the remote heart of wilderness crossing 100+ bridges in various states of despair.
