People don’t take trips, trips take people.John Steinbeck
Blackpool is a sea side resort on the Irish Sea coast of England(Read more). An overnight journey from London takes you to Blackpool. Some call it the Vegas of England – though I don’t seem to agree with that but you get the idea. Does Blackpool simply means fun? So the elusive question is – What to see in Blackpool? what are the Blackpool attractions? So lets explore Blackpool.
Blackpool is Britain’s most loved holiday destination with attractions ranging from world class events, awesome seafront, lighting shows and many more. It’s known for Blackpool Pleasure Beach, an old-school amusement park with vintage wooden roller coasters.
On our first day in Blackpool, we enjoyed the sea front. Luckily, it was sunny and we made the most of it. Starting with a walk on the south promenade seeing contemporary artwork and all the glitter, passed the Comedy carpet which includes works of over 1000+ comedians and Comedy writers.
A walk along the shores is all you need to take in the beauty of this place, casinos, amusement parks dot the shore and has something for people of all ages. Well, we did try our hand at some horse racing, not the real ones though.
And to our surprise it was the weekend of Blackpool Air show. Planes both classic and modern took to the skies in Blackpool’s brilliant air show to put up an amazing display including the famous Red arrows, Jaw dropping Wing walkers etc.
For the evening we visited something far different – a Vegas styled Cabaret. With music including all time classics right through to modern hits, there was something for everyone. It was an amazing show. Click for more info.
