Guide to Brussels Metro
During our brief stay in Brussels, we used the Brussels metro to visit the Automium, Parc du Cinquantenaire etc.
Brussels Metro has 4 metro lines (1, 2, 5 and 6) and 3 fast tram lines (3, 4 and 7).
Single tickets, called Jump 1 cost €2.00 if pre-purchased and are available from the driver for €2.50 (only trams and buses, not metro).
There is also a 1 day pass (called Jump 1 jour/1 dag) available for €6.50/pp. These tickets can be purchased either at staffed windows or from kiosks. However, the kiosks do not accept any credit and debit cards and will only accept cash payments in coins.
An unlimited number of journeys can be made from the first validation until the end of service on the same day. We opted for the 1 day option.
