You don’t have to be rich to travel well.Eugene Fodor
After two great days at the Serengeti (Read more), we were simply left spell bound by this place. Having travelled to so many destinations I was now very much comfortable in saying – this is the best place I’ve ever been to.Visit Serengeti and see The tree climbing Lions of Serengeti with us.
Going by the Omens, we knew it would be a great final day ahead at the Serengeti. We bid adieu to the excellent team at the bush camp. Staying in the wilderness was an experience which I would never ever forget – The cloth tents in middle of the bush, Hyenas visiting the tents, Gleaming eyes gazing at us from a distance, Footsteps and Animal grunts next to your tent at the middle of night, Bonfire in the night, the talking shower and the friendly staff who run this place in the midst of nowhere.
The plan today was a half day trip followed by a drive to our next destination – Ngorongoro Crater (Read more)
There was more in store for us – An up close and personal experience with the Tree climbing Lions of Africa. We were alerted by a fellow Guide of a Pride relaxing a little distance from where we were. So we rushed to the place. 4-5 Lions perched on top of the trees resting on its branches and we were right beneath it. It was now a scary experience as the Lions were right above us. And to add to that out of nowhere more Lioness and Cubs appeared from the other side out of the grass and started playing with our Jeep tyres right below us. This was the most up close and personal experience I’ve ever had in the wild.
We gave up looking for any more game life and we parked there for hours seeing the cubs play around. An amazing experience.
Finally we had to make a move as we had to drive to Ngorongoro (Read more) so we bid Adieu to Serengeti taking in more of the nature and wildlife as we head back. We met few Masai kids on our drive back and we passed some food we had to them. Again the most friendly people I have seen in midst of Adversity.

Travel teaches you a lot and this Serengeti experience has taught me a hell lot and one I will cherish for always. Hopefully I can visit these plains again and hopefully the wildlife/nature is preserved very safely and remains intact.
