Guide to Saint Petersburg Metro
The Saint Petersburg Metro entrances are marked with the Letter ‘M’ on top.
To take the metro you will need to buy Tokens (zheton) which can be purchased from either the ticket windows labelled Kacca or from a new computerised machine with a touch screen – which allows you to select the number of tokens and also denomination and Yes its in English.
The travel cost is fixed and it will cost you just 35 roubles. You will pay for entering the Metro – so the time spend in metro, distance covered, interchanges can be unlimited.
So you have 2 good options —
- Buy individual Tokens costing 35 roubles for each journey
- Buy a 10 journey pass valid for 7 days costing 330 roubles – more than 1 person can use the pass simultaneously.
