As always the best way to explore any city is on your own 2 legs! We were in Istanbul (Read more) for two nights and wanted to do the most of it by exploring Istanbul on foot – experiencing and admiring everything from Blue Mosque to the Grand Bazaar – A perfect walk in Istanbul.
We had taken a hotel which was centrally located in Sultanahmet which means a close proximity to all the key attractions.
Day 1 morning we head from our hotel to the Topkapi Palace passing Dikilitas Anitlari and Blue Mosque (Read more) to reach in 15 mins.
We then head to Basilica Cistern (Read more) which was another 8 mins walk – stopping on the way to dress up as a Sultan and click few pictures with a smiling grandpa.
It was time for the cruise on the Bosphorus (Read more) and we then walked across Sultanahmet to reach the shores.
After a wonderful cruise it was time for the extravaganza – Grand Bazaar (Read more). Another 20 mins of walk across Sultanahmet, we were at the Bazaar.

Day 2 had much lesser of walking as we were to visit Hagia Sophia (Read more) and Blue Mosque (Read more) which were a stone’s throw away.
